Chafford Park’s story began in 1902, when John Thompson bought the estate at a Harrods auction. Over the generations, the family farm flourished — from cattle and sheep to William Thompson’s hop fields that once filled the valley with golden vines. The two buildings that now form the heart of our venue — the hop-picking shed and the granary store — have been lovingly restored, blending rustic character with timeless charm – the perfect backdrop for your wedding.
Today, Sarah, William’s daughter, together with her children, continue to care for Chafford Park, keeping its spirit alive for future generations.
