Hidden within the historic Helperby Estate are four private acres where the whole celebration can find its own rhythm: an emotional ceremony beneath the stone Cupola, glasses raised on the lawn, long tables beneath sailcloth, and dancing while the garden glows after dark.
When the final song ends, the story does not have to stop at the gate. Stay close in the Gardener’s Cottage or settle into the glamping field, then wake to one last morning together before departures by 11.00am.

LOCATION – Around 30 minutes from York, 12 miles from Harrogate and within reach of Leeds—easy to travel to, wonderfully private once you arrive.
THE VENUE – Four acres of restored Edwardian gardens, a permanent Sperry sailcloth tent and lawns made for drinks, photographs, games and golden-hour wandering.
CAPACITY – Celebrate with up to 130 guests for your ceremony and seated wedding breakfast.
CEREMONY – Say “I do” outdoors beneath the licensed stone Cupola, inside the elegant ceremony tent, or at one of the nearby village churches.
FOOD & DRINK – From relaxed sharing boards and abundant BBQs to street food, beautifully plated dining and late-night favourites, every menu is tailored to your tastes by our in-house food and bar team, Wonderland Bar & Kitchen.
EXCLUSIVITY – One wedding at a time. No shared hotel, no other couple and no competing celebration.
STAY THE NIGHT – Stay beside the garden in the Gardener’s Cottage or glamp in the field, with everyone departing by 11.30am the following morning.

Begin beneath the Cupola, framed by old walls and garden roses. Move through the lawns for drinks and photographs. Then bring everyone together beneath the sweeping canvas of the Sperry tent, where dinner gives way to speeches, music and a dance floor glowing after dark. When the party finishes, the cottage and glamping field keep your closest people within the story until morning.

The Milnes Coates family have been custodians of Helperby Hall since 1816. Today, the Walled Garden gives that history a new life: not as a museum piece, but as a relaxed, generous place for people to celebrate together.
