Wonderland Wedding Venue Case Study at Whatton House
When Lucy and Dan booked their wedding at Whatton House Tipi, they hadn’t even seen the venue in person, the virtual tour was enough to steal their hearts. With just 7.5 months to plan, they jumped straight in and loved how smooth and easy the process felt.
Details From the Big Day
On their big day, despite a some rain, they pulled off a wedding that was not only unique but full of personal touches. The day before the wedding, Lucy and Dan were legally married in the morning. Their stylist, Curious Magpie, set up the venue with a mix of vintage and retro-inspired décor, while the couple and their guests enjoyed a relaxed picnic on the grass. The atmosphere was warm and relaxed, which was a perfect start to their celebrations.
Lucy & Dan chose a blessing led by their eccentric American friend, who knew them well enough to add plenty of personal details that made it heartfelt and and filled with laughter from family and friends. It was the kind of ceremony where every moment felt personal, especially Lucy’s speech – a poem that had guests in tears by the end, beautifully capturing the emotions of the day.
Their choice of food was just as unique, opting for The Greedy Pig’s Japanese Tapas, an unexpected and exciting menu. It wasn’t your standard wedding fare, and that’s exactly what made it memorable.
And then, just when it seemed the rain might keep them indoors, the skies cleared up at the perfect moment. Lucy, Dan, and their guests were able to step outside for the speeches, surrounded by the beautiful grounds of Whatton House. The fresh air, laughter, and heartfelt words were the perfect blend, creating amazing memories for everyone present.
The Party Truly Began
As the evening arrived, an 8-piece brass band started the party, with music echoing across the tipi and out into the countryside. The band’s energy was electric, and it didn’t take long before everyone was up and dancing to the fantastic playlist, and they continued well into the night.
Even though the wedding day came and went in a blur, the true mark of its success was visible the next morning. When the team at Wonderland Weddings saw Lucy, Dan, and their guests, the big smiles (and a few sore heads) told the story.
This wedding at Whatton House was more than just a beautiful day in a tipi, it had been a night to remember. It was a celebration filled with quirky, personal touches that made the day feel completely their own.
